The last time I got into shape was when I was 20. Now I am pushing 33 soon and I’m gradually getting into one of the best shapes of my life. With a new diet of steak and eggs and hitting the gym 4 days a week, I’m making good progress. However, I recently ordered a new supplement which I’ve been using for about a week.
That supplement is creatine.
I was shocked whenever I done 30 reps of my barbell at the gym when usually I only do 15-20. Creatine replenishes your muscles ATP stores which means you can lift more, lift heavier and do more reps. This means you build more muscle. And the creatine I bought itself only cost me £9.95 and is virtually a 6 month supply.
I used creatine whenever I was working out whenever I was 20, but it’s only this time that I really noticed a massive difference. I can do more reps than before and it’s also easier. All I take is 3 grams in the morning, every morning, with a glass of water. There’s a measuring device included with the creatine and most supplement brands include it to help you measure your creatine out.
Some bodybuilders do 5-8 grams everyday in the first week which is something you can do but I decided not to. I decided to be more patient and conserve creatine, however next time I probably will overload it. So far I’m very impressed with creatine, and also there is another added benefit.
Creatine draws water into your muscles which makes your muscles look bigger and more toned. This water also enhances your recovery rate and helps your muscle to repair. That’s three massive benefits to using creatine: you can lift more in the gym, your muscles get bigger and you recover faster. I’ll definitely be using creatine from now on.
Right now I’m still not in my ideal shape so I’m not planning on uploading photos of myself anytime soon. However, once I finally hit it, I’m going to put a before and after in my about section. The medication that I have to take makes it really hard to lose weight but I’m only consuming about 600 calories everyday now, so I should definitely make progress there.
For 6 days in the week all I’m going to eat is 1 meal of 1 steak and 3 eggs. On the 4 days during the week that I workout, I eat 1 tin of sardines in the morning after my workout. I also drink my creatine in the morning. Creatine is an amazing supplement. I highly recommend you buy some and add it to your workout routine.
I remember when SARM’s were still legal but unfortunately they are banned now which is a shame. However regarding legal supplements, creatine is hands-down the best. What’s more is that it is extremely cheap. I don’t take any protein powder, I just get protein from my meals, sardines and steak and eggs. I have one cheat day on a Sunday and on that day I eat whatever I want.
I highly recommend checking creatine out. You can easily buy some from Amazon and get it delivered the next day. It’ll make a massive difference to your gains.
